Ok, Guys...I have to come clean and admit that I've been "cheating" on AITF as of late with a spin-off of a spin-off of the show...Good Times! My Mom sent me Season 1 for Xmas. I had forgotten how really good this show is!
The family is so proud and close-knit and really cares about each other...and how many times CAN a family have oatmeal for breakfast, really? If only they could afford Cream of Wheat-just once! ha ha
But seriously, do any of youse like this show? If so, let's discuss...

Wow! I don't think I've seen that show since the 70's!
I used to watch it...but I was never really crazy about it. That Jimmy Walker...I mean, how many tines can he say "DYN-O-MITE!!!!!"? They milked that one phrase for all it was worth...and it wasn't even funny the first time!
Other than that though, I kinda liked it. especially after the father dropped dead...and ya gotta love that crazy neighbor, what was it, Winona? (What is that actresses name?! Something DuBois I think...no?)
I've been cheating on AITF by watching Seinfeld and The Honeymooners!

Yeah, I have to agree that JJ is the ultimate annoyance-no matter WHAT he is saying, but especially "Dyn-O-Mite!" Yikes! But it really IS a cute show, nonetheless. You're right, their neighbor Willona is played by Ja' net Du Bois. Very good, that you would remember that!
Cheating on AITF with Seinfeld and the Honeymooners, huh? HA Do you know, I have never even SEEN a whole Seinfeld episode! In fact, I have never seen ANY modern sitcom all the way through-and the only times I see snippets of them is when I'm in someone else's home and have no choice! I guess I'm just stuck in the 70's and 80's (as I DO love The Golden Girls)! Weird, huh?
Do you have ANY idea what the holdup is on AITF Season 7? I wonder if it's a copyright problem-or something? It's just taking TOO darn long-what's going on? One of my favorite episodes is yet to come and I can't wait! It's the one where they are on the subway and Mike belts the husband who's rude to his wife! I LOVE that one! "All ya did was belt him!" ha ha

Wow! this is weird! Someone who avoids modern TV even more than I do??!!! (Seinfeld and the older Simpsons are my only "modern" shows- and my TV isn't connected to the outside woild. Funny how you, me and Karla are only "retro viewers"!)
Ya know, Karla got me to actually like the Golden Girls!!! (I can't believe that I actually like that show now!)
Oh, and I love that subway ep of AITF, too!
Archie:"I just et a ....UUURRRPP!!...frankfurter, up in the Bronx".
"All preverts think I'm a prevert".
And not sure if this was S7 or 8, but that ep where Theresa The Spic is living with them, and the Bunkers go away for the weekend...and at the bus toiminal, a huge schvatze picks up their bag by mistake....priceless!!
I'd also like to know what the hold-up is with the remaining seasons! This was one of the highest-rated shows in television history, and to this dfay, one of the best-loved, and Archie Bunker is still one of the most recognizable TV characters of all time...and yet the store shelves are filled with crap...idiotic shows about faggots and drug addicts, and good stuff like this languishes! It's a travesty, I tells ya!
Heh..yeah, I do still remember some eps of Good Times. I always liked Esther Roll in it....but dfarnm I can't believe they tried to milk one lousey, annoying expression for YEARS. (I just thank goodness that people don't go around saying it anymore, like they did in the 70's...."DYN-O-MIIIIITE!!!"- Gimme a break!
